What If You Can’t Find an NHS Dentist?

If you struggle to find an NHS dentist, you have a few options:

  • Private Dental Care – Many dentists offer both NHS and private services. Private treatment is more expensive but can provide quicker access and a wider range of treatments.

  • Emergency NHS Treatment – If you have an urgent dental problem, call NHS 111 for advice or visit an NHS emergency dental clinic.

  • Dental Schools – Some universities offer low-cost dental treatment from supervised students.

NHS Dental Check-Ups: How Often Should You Go?

NHS dental check-ups are recommended based on your oral health needs. Some people need a check-up every six months, while others might only need one every one or two years. Your dentist will advise you on the best frequency for your visits.

Is an NHS Dentist Right for You?

If you’re looking for affordable and essential dental care, NHS dentists are a great option. While availability can sometimes be an issue, planning ahead and checking multiple locations can help you secure an appointment.

For routine check-ups, fillings, and essential dental care, the NHS provides excellent value. However, if you require cosmetic treatments or more flexibility, you may want to explore private dentistry options.
